The latest Boat Sessions cover song is a rather ethereal & melancholy rendition of the beautiful song Mad World. Written by Roland Orzabal of 80's band Tears for Fears, this song was first released by the band in 1982.
The Gary Jules/Michael Andrews version, released in 2003, was featured in the film Donnie Darko, garnering an Ivor Novello award for Roland Orzabal.

Caitlin & Neil have added an ethereal twist to its simple melody with the use of selectively placed reverb/vocal FX, creating an 'otherwordly' feel to the song.
